Picture the order sheet for a company with 30 locations. Thirty managers type in sizes, two of them paste in an old logo, one asks for the hoodie in a color the brand team retired last year, and somebody at headquarters spends a week cleaning it up.
That sheet is the problem. Every row is one more chance to get a size or an address wrong. A branded online store removes the sheet.
Brand guidelines break at the order form
Most companies have brand guidelines. Far fewer hold to them. In a 2016 benchmark study, Demand Metric and Lucidpress found that almost all organizations claim to have guidelines, but only one-fourth have formal guidelines that are consistently enforced. Over 60 percent said materials are always, often or sometimes made that do not conform.
Swag is one of the places this happens. A location manager who needs shirts for a grand opening finds a logo file on a shared drive and sends it to whatever shop is close. Now the brand has two versions of the logo in the world.
At The Swan Brothers, we put the guideline check into the catalog itself. Your brand team approves the products, the colors and the logo placements during setup. The store shows only those items. An employee in any location cannot order an off-brand color or a stretched logo, because that option is not in the store.
One set of art, one proof
Every location ordering from the same store means every order prints from the same artwork on file. The Swan Brothers sets up the production-ready art at no charge, and each design goes out as a proof for approval before it goes on press.
All decoration happens in-house in Pittsfield: screen printing, embroidery, digital printing and laser engraving, on the same equipment with the same quality checks. When your logo or your guidelines change, we update the store and the art in one place. The next order from every location picks up the change.
Ship to the location, or to the person
This is where the spreadsheet usually falls apart. Somebody collects orders by location, places one bulk order, gets a stack of boxes at headquarters and splits them by hand.
With a store, each employee orders their own items in their own size. The order ships straight to their office or to their home. Nobody collects sizes by location and nobody repacks a bulk shipment.
For programs that buy in bulk and hold stock, our 3PL fulfillment sends the right quantities to each address directly from our Pittsfield warehouse, instead of routing everything through headquarters. Every shipment has tracking. Inventory reports show stock levels, so a reorder goes in before a location runs out.
Recurring orders without a new project each time
A multi-location company never orders swag once. New hires start every week, a new location opens, the summer polo changes. An always-on store handles that without anyone starting a new order from scratch. Products can be added, removed or swapped without rebuilding the store, and new employees order their own gear without a request to the office manager. Clients like Google use always-on stores this way, for ongoing access to branded gear.
If you want a defined window instead, a store can also run as a campaign with open and close dates, for a seasonal sale or an event.
The gear itself has a long life once it ships. The ASI 2026 Ad Impressions Study found that four in five consumers would keep a promotional T-shirt for at least a year, and a well-loved branded tee is likely to get 3,500 impressions over its lifespan. Across 200 locations, that adds up to a lot of people seeing your logo, so it pays to have the right logo on every shirt.
What it costs to set up
Our online swag stores run on Chipply and are free to set up. There is no platform fee and no monthly subscription, and you need no minimum order to launch. Each item is priced to cover the blank, the decoration and the fulfillment, and you get per-unit pricing during the setup call. Most stores are live within 5 to 7 business days from the first consultation, faster when your brand guidelines and art are ready.
The next step
Before the call, find your brand guide with the current logo files, and list the locations that will order. With that, The Swan Brothers can build the approved catalog and have a store ready for your brand team to review. Book a call and bring the list.
